Our mission is to provide a dynamic, multidisciplinary after-school program that ignites creativity and promotes holistic development in students. We are dedicated to offering engaging and diverse activities that blend the English language arts, creative arts, sciences, and math with a side of musical flair, fostering an environment where curiosity and innovation flourish. Our program is committed to supporting each student's unique journey, encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, and personal growth. Through a nurturing and inclusive approach, we aim to equip our students with the skills and confidence they need to excel academically and thrive in all areas of life.

Program Overview

The Maestro Stars Academy After School Enrichment Program for Kindergarten to 5th Grade students is a comprehensive, engaging program designed to complement and enhance your child’s daytime education, helping them become well-rounded “maestros” of their own success. This multidisciplinary program consists of a variety of classes offered in a nurturing and supportive environment and is built in the foundations of English Language Arts and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Students will take classes in English Language Arts, Creative Arts, Science, and Mathematics that will build upon age-appropriate educational foundations, challenge and further develop their skills, and expand their horizons through engaging, cross- and multidisciplinary activities.

In addition to the four core classes, the program offers multiple options for families to choose from to support students interests and desired skills development.

Our Services

English Language Arts

Classes offer a well-rounded curriculum that integrates reading, writing, and public speaking to develop essential communication skills. Students engage in diverse literacy experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and confident expression.

Mathematics

Classes focus on rigorous lessons that use hands-on activities and practical, every-day application examples to support students in learning core math concepts, as well as teaching new ones so they can excel in and exceed typical age-level math skills.

Science

Classes will educate students about the scientific method and world around them through fun, educational, hands-on activities that explore a diverse range of topics such as ecology, biology, chemistry, and physics. Students are also trained to participate in science fairs.

Creative Arts

Classes provide an opportunity for students to develop fine motor and spatial skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, adaptability and flexibility, emotional expression, and communication, while learning different art types, mediums, and techniques.

Additional Courses

Independent Piano

Practice

This option allows students to spend extra time practicing and honing their piano skills.

STEAM

This project-based option is for students who do not play a musical instrument or are interested in further non-musical educational activities with a focus on STEAM.

Musical Theater

This option allows students to practice vocal and musical theater skills; this option combines vocal performance, monologue, acting skills, and dance movement. Each semester the students will do a small production to showcase their skills.

Chinese Language

This project-based option is for students who do not play a musical instrument or are interested in further non-musical educational activities with a focus on STEAM.

Additional Information

Class Size

All classes are in a small-group setting (up to 10-12 students per class) with students grouped based on a combination of age, school grade, and skill level. Small groups allow students to receive individualized attention, with lessons adjusted by leveling up or down based on the needs of each student.

Program Hours

Monday through Friday: Open* - 6:30 pm

*Opening time varies by day based on the earliest dismissal time for students enrolled in our program.

Notes: Open-3:30 pm (students may start arriving after their school ends) is arrival and flex time, and core classes start around 3:30 pm. This program follows the Cupertino School District academic calendar, including all applicable breaks. Students from other school districts can also enroll (please inquire for more info).

Breaks

Breaks are scheduled between each class period. Students will be provided with a small snack each day before core classes begin.

Instructors & Curriculum

This program features instructors with decades of practical and teaching experiences in their respective topic areas. Instructors include those who are certified teachers and/or have advanced degrees in their field, along with years of experience working with children and students of different ages, grade levels, and abilities to help them thrive academically and creatively. Instructors have diverse experience in formal and informal classroom, group, and individual educational settings. All curricula were developed by the instructors to create a unique, multidisciplinary program that weaves together the fundamentals of STEM & Arts (STEAM), music, and theater.
